Scripture:

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

God isn’t looking for impressive vessels. He’s looking for surrendered ones.

A vessel has one simple purpose: to hold what is poured into it. When we allow God to empty us of pride, selfish desires, fear, and self-reliance, He creates room within us for something greater—a life filled with faith.

But this isn’t a one-time moment.

We continually come before God. We continually pray. We continually surrender. We continually remember who He is. And as we do, our faith grows.

Hebrews 11 isn’t simply a collection of extraordinary people. It’s a testimony of ordinary people who chose to trust an extraordinary God. Their lives became evidence of what happens when someone believes God enough to obey Him.

That invitation is still ours today.

Let God empty what needs to be emptied. Let prayer become the foundation of your relationship with Him. Believe Him for who He is. And then walk out what you believe.

An empty vessel in the hands of God isn’t actually empty for long.

If someone watched the way I pray, make decisions, respond to difficulty, and obey God, would they see a life filled with faith?

Prayer:

Father, make me a vessel You can use. Empty me of everything that competes with You and fill me with faith. Give me a prayer life that knows You deeply, a heart that believes You completely, and a life that obeys You faithfully. I surrender myself again today. Help me walk by faith and live in a way that points others back to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
