Day 32

Jabez prayed one of the boldest prayers in the Old Testament. He asked God to bless him and enlarge his territory. And God granted it. That prayer is for each of us and for the church of Jesus Christ. It is for us to dare to ask God for more than what we currently hold. 

Today, we are praying a prayer for enlargement over Praise Chapel International Fellowship of Churches. We are asking God to hand us new cities and new territories. Not for our glory, but for His.

SCRIPTURE

"And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, 'Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!’” 1 Chronicles 4:10 (NKJV)

PRAYER

Father God, we pray the prayer of Jabez over Praise Chapel today and over each of our lives. Bless us indeed. Enlarge our territory. Help us enter cities we have not yet entered. We refuse to play defense. We refuse to settle into comfortable maintenance. Give us more for Your glory. Amen.
