Three Wires of Power
Scripture:
Matthew 28:19
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Devotional:
A power cord has three wires: positive, negative, and ground. Without all three, the connection fails. Pastor Earl compared this to our connection with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Trinity works in unity to bring life, restoration, and power into us.
Sometimes, we only lean on one - asking Jesus for forgiveness, but forgetting the Father’s love or the Spirit’s guidance. Full restoration happens when we embrace the fullness of God, not just parts of Him. Our lives become steady, grounded, and charged with His presence.
Reflective Questions:
1. Do I tend to connect with one Person of the Trinity more than the others?
2. What would it look like to walk daily with the Father, Son, and Spirit together?
3. How have I seen the Spirit “ground” me in tough seasons?
Prayer:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, thank You for working together in my life. I want to know You in Your fullness and not miss any part of Your presence. Restore my heart to live balanced, grounded, and connected to all of who You are.
Action Step: As you pray today, specifically address the Father, then the Son, then the Spirit - acknowledge their unique role in your restoration.
