Hold the Line
Scripture:
“The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.”
John 1:9
Devotional:
On the battlefield, light reveals what darkness tries to hide. John 1 reminds us that being “strong in the Lord” means walking in His light. Strength isn’t the absence of weakness - it’s standing firm when the enemy advances. The high ground is not just where you see clearly, but where you refuse to retreat.
When we remain close to Jesus, His light exposes every hidden tactic of the enemy. He gives vision to the blind spots and courage when we’re weary. Hold your position. Let His presence illuminate your path and your purpose. The battle belongs to the Lord, but He’s trusted you to hold the high ground with Him.
Reflection Questions:
1. What does it mean for me to “hold my ground” spiritually this season?
2. How does His light change the way I see my current battles?
Prayer:
Lord, help me to stand firm in Your light. Strengthen me to hold my ground in love, faith, and humility. Thank You that victory is already Yours. Amen.
Action Step:
End your week by worshipping intentionally - play a worship song, pray aloud, and declare victory over the areas where you’ve felt under attack.
