Anchored in Hope
Scriptures:
John 14:1–3; Proverbs 3:5–6; Hebrews 6:19
Devotional
Jesus knew our hearts get troubled easily, so He spoke straight to the places where worry lives. “Do not let your heart be troubled… I’m preparing a place for you.” Hope isn’t vague — it’s prepared, intentional, personal. Heaven isn’t a myth; it’s home.
Proverbs reminds us that trust straightens the paths we can’t make sense of. And Hebrews tells us hope is an anchor — not decorative, but functional. Anchors hold you when the waters are rough. They keep you from drifting when life pulls hard.
In this Advent season, your hope is not in your circumstances, your plans, or your strength. Your hope is anchored in a Savior who is preparing eternity for you, guiding you right now, and holding you steady through every storm.
Reflect
1. Where have I been letting trouble lead instead of trust?
2. What path in my life needs God’s direction right now?
3. How does the promise of heaven shape the way I handle today?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for anchoring my life in Your promises. Settle my heart when worry tries to lead. Teach me to trust You with everything — my plans, my future, my fears. Thank You that You’re preparing a place for me and walking with me right now. Amen.
Action Step
Choose one worry and intentionally surrender it in prayer. Replace it with one promise from today’s scriptures.
