Nothing Withheld

Scripture: Acts 20:24

“My only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me…”

Paul wanted to finish what Jesus had entrusted to him. Later, near the end of his life, he could say, “I am already being poured out… I have finished the race.”

What happened between “I want to finish” and “I finished”? Paul lived poured out. He gave his time, strength, gifts, knowledge, testimony, resources, comfort, and ultimately his life. 

That’s what an empty vessel looks like. Not someone who has nothing left, but someone who has nothing withheld. 

Jesus doesn’t only want our gifts, our worship, or our Sundays. He wants all of us.

Application:

Ask the Holy Spirit, “What am I still withholding from You?” Whatever He reveals, your plans, comfort, time, gifts, resources, or obedience, surrender it to Him.

Prayer: Jesus, nothing withheld. Our lives belong to You. Whatever You’ve placed inside of us, use it. Whatever You’re asking us to surrender, You can have it. Help us finish the race You’ve given us. Amen.
