Victory is Already Won

Oct 16, 2025

Scripture:

“And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

Colossians 2:15

Devotional:

In Pastor Steve’s message on Sunday, we were reminded that Satan isn’t God’s equal - he’s already been defeated. The cross wasn’t a moment of weakness; it was a declaration of triumph. Jesus disarmed every dark power and made their defeat public for all of heaven and hell to see.

The enemy still whispers, hoping we’ll forget the truth, but he can’t reclaim the authority Jesus stripped from him. You don’t fight for victory — you fight from it. When you live like the battle is already won, you stop letting fear, shame, or failure dictate your steps. Christ’s victory is your starting point, not your destination.

Reflection Questions:

1. What battles have I been fighting as if I’ve already lost?

2. Do I truly believe that Christ’s victory is enough for what I’m facing today?

3. How can I remind myself daily that the enemy has already been disarmed?

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for the cross that silenced every accusation and stripped the enemy of power. Help me to walk in the freedom You’ve already secured. Let my life reflect confidence in Your finished work. Amen.

Action Step:

Write down one area of your life that feels like a battle. Next to it, write this truth: “Jesus has already won.” Keep it somewhere you’ll see it today — and every time that worry tries to rise, read it out loud.
