Holy Spirit: The Seal that Stays

Jul 18, 2025

Scripture:

Ephesians 1:13–14

Devotional:

When the Holy Spirit enters your life, it isn’t just to give you a moment of transformation—it’s to seal your future. In ancient times, a seal was a mark of ownership and protection. When God seals you with His Spirit, it means you’re His—and nothing changes that.

That doesn’t mean your journey will be perfect. You’ll have moments of doubt, days you feel off, and seasons where growth feels slow. But the seal is still there. His presence is the proof that He hasn’t given up on you—and never will.

So often we walk like we’re on shaky ground, like we could mess this whole thing up at any moment. But that’s not what God says. You’ve been marked. Secured. Kept. And that truth should lead to confidence—not in yourself, but in Him.

Questions:

1. Deep down, do I feel like I have to keep proving myself to God?

2. What’s one moment where I felt far from God—but now I realize He never left?

3. If I fully believed I was sealed and secure, how would I approach this week differently?

Action Step:

Fill in this sentence and post it where you’ll see it: “Even when I _______, the Holy Spirit stays.” Let it interrupt the lie that God is distant or conditional.

Prayer:

God, thank You that I don’t have to earn what You’ve already given. When I’m unsure of where I stand, remind me that I’m sealed. Help me walk in that kind of confidence—grounded, steady, and rooted in Your promise.
