Letting Go of the Guilt Grace Already Covered

Aug 5, 2025

Scripture:

Hebrews 10:22

“...having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.”

Devotional:

Even after receiving grace, many of us carry around the guilt that Jesus already removed. We replay our mistakes, beat ourselves up for our shortcomings, and question whether we’re truly forgiven. But grace doesn’t leave room for guilt to linger — it invites us to live free. The enemy would love to keep you tangled in shame, but Jesus calls you to move forward in confidence. If He said, “It is finished,” then who are we to keep dragging it out?

Reflection Questions:

1. What guilt or shame am I still holding onto that Jesus already paid for?

2. What scripture can I hold onto or remind myself of when I feel guilt or shame?

Prayer:

Jesus, I confess the ways I’ve held onto guilt You already removed. Help me to stop rehearsing what You’ve already redeemed. Wash my mind, my heart, and my conscience. I want to walk in the freedom You died to give me.

Action Step:

Write down one lie guilt has been speaking over you — and replace it with a truth from God’s Word.
