Power With Purpose

Scripture: Acts 1:8

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…”

The power of the Holy Spirit is not random. It has a purpose. Jesus said we would receive power to be witnesses. That means our lives and our words are meant to point people to Him.

This power isn’t just for church moments. It’s for everyday conversations, relationships, and opportunities. The Holy Spirit empowers us to speak into real life, not just spiritual settings.

Being a witness doesn’t mean having all the answers. It simply means sharing what you’ve seen, experienced, and know to be true about Jesus.

Reflective Questions:

1. Do I see my everyday life as an opportunity to be a witness?

2. Where has God placed me to speak and represent Him?

3. Am I using the power He’s given me for its intended purpose?

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for giving me Your Spirit. Help me use the power You’ve given me to point others to You. Let my life and my words be a witness of who You are. Amen.

Action Step:

Be intentional today. Look for one moment in your normal routine where you can point someone to Jesus.
