Guard The Treasure
Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:13-14
“Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you.”
Devotional
God has entrusted every believer with something valuable: the gospel, our testimony, our calling, and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
Treasures are protected because they are valuable. Yet many of us are careful with our finances, possessions, and schedules while being careless with our spiritual lives.
Guarding the treasure means protecting our relationship with God. It means staying rooted in Scripture, maintaining a prayer life, and refusing to compromise when culture pressures us to.
We don’t guard it through our own strength. Paul reminds us that the Holy Spirit helps us. The same Spirit who empowers us also preserves us.
