Choose Joy
Scripture:
“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Philippians 4:4
Devotional:
Joy is often a choice. Not a denial of pain, but a decision to trust God in the middle of it. Paul reminds us that joy is found in the Lord, not in perfect conditions.
Choosing joy may look practical—slowing down, practicing gratitude, or remembering God’s faithfulness. This Advent season, joy grows when we intentionally turn our hearts back to Him.
Reflection Questions:
1. What makes choosing joy difficult right now?
2. What habits help keep my heart anchored in God?
3. What is one small way I can choose joy today?
Prayer:
Lord, help me choose joy today—not by ignoring reality, but by trusting You in it. Recenter my heart on You and remind me of Your faithfulness. Amen.
Action Step:
List three things you’re grateful for today, no matter how small.
