Revival Requires Repentance

Mar 5, 2026

Key Scripture:

Psalm 51:10

Revival and repentance cannot be separated. Before there is renewal, there must be return. Repentance is not about shame; it is about turning back toward the One who gives life.

We often desire refreshing without reflection. Yet Scripture consistently shows that when God’s people turn from their sin and seek Him sincerely, restoration follows. Repentance clears the space for God to restore joy, clarity, and intimacy. A revived heart is a cleansed heart.

Reflective Questions:

1. Is there compromise I have allowed to remain?

2. Have I grown comfortable with attitudes that grieve the Spirit?

3. What would wholehearted repentance look like today?

Prayer:

Create in me a clean heart, O God. Search me and reveal anything that separates me from You. I turn from what distracts and return to You fully.

Action Step:

Confess something specific to God today and intentionally turn from it.
