Boldness To Speak

Apr 21, 2026

Scripture: Acts 4:31

“They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.”

Boldness is not personality. It’s not being loud or outgoing. Biblical boldness is Spirit-given courage to speak truth, even when it feels uncomfortable.

The disciples faced pressure, opposition, and uncertainty. Yet when they prayed, they weren’t asking for safety. They asked for boldness. And God answered by filling them again with the Holy Spirit.

We often pray for easier situations, but God wants to give us stronger voices. The Holy Spirit empowers us not just to believe, but to speak.

Reflective Questions:

1. Do I avoid speaking because I fear how people will respond?

2. When was the last time I asked God for boldness instead of comfort?

3. What truth do I feel prompted to share but haven’t yet?

Prayer:

God, give me boldness that comes from You. Not forced or fake, but Spirit-filled courage. Help me speak Your truth with love and confidence. Let my voice reflect Your heart. Amen.

Action Step:

Share a small piece of your faith today, whether it’s a testimony, encouragement, or Scripture, with someone.
