You Are A Witness
Scripture:
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…” Acts 1:8
The Greek word Pastor Steve mentioned for “witness” points to someone whose life becomes evidence. A witness doesn’t just repeat information, they testify about what they’ve personally seen and experienced.
God didn’t clothe us with power so we could stay silent, hidden, or passive. Our lives are meant to testify that Jesus is real. The way we love people, respond under pressure, forgive others, and walk through hardship becomes a witness to the world around us.
Sometimes we think witnessing only means preaching or posting scriptures online. But one of the strongest testimonies is consistency. When people see someone still loving God through grief, disappointment, stress, or unanswered prayers, that speaks loudly.
Your life may be the only version of Jesus someone encounters today. That can feel weighty, but it’s also beautiful. God chooses ordinary people to demonstrate His extraordinary power.
Reflective Questions:
1. What does my daily life testify about God?
2. Have I been passive about demonstrating my faith?
3. Who around me needs to see the love of Jesus through my life?
Prayer:
Jesus, let my life be a witness that points people back to You. Help me represent You well in the way I speak, respond, and love others. Give me courage to live boldly and consistently for You, even in ordinary moments. Amen.
Action Step:
Encourage, pray for, or intentionally show kindness to someone who may need to experience Jesus today.
