The Holy Spirit Gives Power

Scripture: “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you…” Acts 1:8  

The Holy Spirit doesn’t empower us so we can become impressive. He empowers us so that Jesus becomes visible through our lives. Pastor Charmaine emphasized that God’s power is never for personal recognition—it is always for Kingdom purposes.  

The same Spirit who empowered the early church lives in believers today. He gives wisdom when we feel inadequate, boldness when we feel afraid, and strength when we feel weak. We don’t have to manufacture spiritual power; we simply have to remain surrendered and available.

Freedom, authority, and purpose flow from the Holy Spirit’s presence.

Where do you need the Holy Spirit’s strength instead of your own effort?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, fill me afresh today. Give me wisdom, courage, discernment, and compassion. Help me walk in Your power for Your glory and not my

own. Amen.

Before making any major decision today, pause and ask, “Holy Spirit, what would You have me do?”
