The Trust of the Master

Sep 22, 2025

Scripture:

“Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them.”

Matthew 25:14

God’s Kingdom work begins with trust. The Master entrusts His servants with what belongs to Him - not what they earned, but what He graciously placed in their hands. The same is true for us: our gifts, opportunities, resources, and even the breath in our lungs are entrusted to us by God. He has confidence that we can steward His wealth well.

When we see our lives through this lens, everything shifts. Our time is not ours to waste, our talents are not ours to hide, and our resources are not ours to hoard. They belong to Him, and He has chosen you to carry them into the field. To bury them in the ground out of fear is to reject the trust He’s given. To invest them in faith is to honor His choice of you.

Reflection Questions:

1. What has God entrusted to me in this season (relationships, finances, gifts, influence)?

2. Am I living as if they are mine to control, or His to multiply?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for trusting me with what belongs to You. Forgive me for the times I’ve hidden or wasted what You’ve given. Help me to see every gift as an opportunity to honor You. Teach me to be faithful with little and with much. Amen.

Action Step:

List three things God has entrusted to you right now. Write next to each one a way you can intentionally use it for His Kingdom this week.
