A Different Spirit

Scripture:

“Because my servant Caleb has a different spirit and follows the Lord wholeheartedly…” Numbers 14:24

Devotional:

Caleb stood out not because he was louder, younger, or stronger - but because his spirit was different. While others focused on obstacles, Caleb trusted God’s promise. He didn’t follow halfway or when it was convenient. He followed fully.

As we begin this fast, God isn’t just looking for sacrifice - He’s looking for posture. Fasting helps reveal what’s been competing for our trust and attention. Like Caleb, this is an invitation to follow God wholeheartedly, not selectively.

1. What has been shaping my spirit lately?

2. Where have I followed God partially instead of fully?

Prayer:

God, give me a different spirit. Strip away fear, distraction, and doubt. I want to follow You wholeheartedly, especially in this season of fasting. Align my heart with Yours. Amen.

Ask God to reveal anything that’s been dulling your spiritual hunger.
