Power in Alignment

Oct 29, 2025

Scripture:

“Do not go beyond what is written.”

1 Corinthians 4:6

Devotional:

Spiritual authority doesn’t come from volume—it comes from alignment. Pastor Steve reminded us that God’s power flows clean when we stay under His Word. When we drift outside it, pride sneaks in and turns power into performance.

The enemy loves to twist Scripture just enough to make us independent instead of dependent. But real power doesn’t resist God’s boundaries—it thrives within them. When I submit to His Word, I’m not limited, I’m anchored. It’s the difference between hype and holiness, noise and true authority.

We can’t carry heaven’s weight if we’re disconnected from heaven’s truth. Staying in the Word keeps us sharp, steady, and spirit-led in a world full of voices.

Reflect:

1. Where have I started relying more on my feelings than on Scripture?

2. What “boundary” verse is God calling me back to?

3. How can I grow in spiritual authority by deepening my obedience?

Prayer:

Lord, anchor me in Your Word. Guard me from pride that masks itself as confidence. I want power that comes from purity—authority that’s born in obedience. Teach me to stay under Your covering so I can carry Your presence well. Amen.

Action Step:

Today, choose one area of your life that feels out of control—finances, relationships, habits. Find a specific verse that speaks into it, write it down, and pray that verse aloud daily this week.

Ask the Holy Spirit to align your heart, choices, and words to that truth until peace replaces striving.
