Strength That Comes From God
Scripture: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
Hannah eventually became a mother, but motherhood wasn’t the only evidence of God’s power in her life. Her strength was visible long before her breakthrough came. She kept going. She kept worshiping. She kept trusting.
The world often defines strength as independence, productivity, or having everything together. But Godly strength looks different. Sometimes strength is simply choosing not to quit. Sometimes it’s getting up again after disappointment. Sometimes it’s worshiping while you’re still carrying unanswered questions.
Being clothed in power doesn’t mean you never feel weak. It means you know where your strength comes from. God never asked us to carry life alone. His Spirit strengthens ordinary people to endure difficult seasons with grace and faith.
This applies to every person: mothers, fathers, students, leaders, those grieving, those rebuilding, those exhausted. God gives strength for the exact season you’re in.
Reflective Questions:
1. Where have I been trying to rely only on myself?
2. What does Godly strength look like in my life right now?
3. How can I lean on God more this week?
Prayer:
Father, I don’t want to depend only on my own strength. Remind me that Your power is greater than my weakness. Help me walk through this season with endurance, peace, and trust in You. Amen.
Action Step:
Pause before reacting to stress today and pray, “Holy Spirit, strengthen me.”
