Don’t Ignore The Warning Signs

Scripture: 

Joel 2:25

"I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten…”

We all know that moment when a dashboard light comes on. Sometimes we panic, sometimes we ignore it - convincing ourselves it’s “no big deal.” Spiritually, we can fall into the same trap. God sends warning signs, not to shame us, but to call us back before deeper damage sets in. In Joel’s time, the locusts weren’t random. They were a consequence - a wake-up call. But here’s the good news: when God’s people turned back, He didn’t just stop the loss; He restored what was taken.

The Holy Spirit works like that warning light, persistent, sometimes uncomfortable, but always for our good. What we ignore today may cost us tomorrow. Listening to Him now opens the door to restoration.

2. Am I making excuses to avoid dealing with them?

3. Where do I need to invite God into the repair process?

Prayer:

Lord, I don’t want to ignore Your voice. Help me to see where You’re warning me and give me the courage to respond quickly. Thank You that You don’t just point out what’s wrong - You also promise restoration. Amen.
