This Is A Spiritual Fight

Scripture: Ephesians 6:12–14

Devotional:

Not everything you’re facing is natural.

Some of the pressure, confusion, heaviness—it’s spiritual. Paul reminds us that we’re not fighting people—we’re fighting what’s behind the scenes. And if we misunderstand the battle, we’ll fight the wrong way.

Instead of reacting in frustration, God calls us to stand in truth. Instead of being overwhelmed, He calls us to be aware.

The Holy Spirit gives you discernment, strength, and stability in the middle of the fight. You’re not powerless—you’re equipped.

Reflect:

1. Have I been fighting people instead of recognizing the spiritual battle?

2. What does it look like for me to “stand firm” today?

3. Am I using what God has already given me?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, open my eyes to what’s really happening around me. Help me not to react in the flesh, but to stand firm in truth. Strengthen me to fight the right battles in the right way. Amen.

Action Step:

Pause before reacting today ask, “What’s really going on here?”
