Kratos: Strength for the Long Battle

Nov 11, 2025

Scripture:

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power (kratos).”

Ephesians 6:10

Devotional:

Kratos is the enduring strength that keeps you standing when you feel like collapsing. It’s not flashy - it’s faithful. Miracles can get attention, but endurance is what gets crowns.

Like Pastor Steve mentioned in his Sunday message, many of us want the “Acts-level” miracles, but forget that those miracles flowed from people who endured beatings, rejection, and prisons - and still worshiped. Kratos is the kind of power that sings in the midnight cell.

If dunamis explodes, kratos endures. It’s what helps you love when it’s hard, stay pure when no one’s watching, and keep praying when God feels silent. The Holy Spirit gives divine strength not just to skip the hard part and win battles, but to walk through them with unwavering faith.

Reflection Questions:

1. Where do I need kratos power to help me keep standing?

2. Am I only thankful for miracles, or do I also thank God for endurance?

3. How can my perseverance become a testimony of His power?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the kind of power that doesn’t fade when I’m weary. Strengthen my heart to keep walking in faith until I see Your victory.

Action Step:

When you feel tired today, pray this: “Lord, Your power is made perfect in my weakness.” Then take the next small step forward.
