Trust Is The Antidote To Fear
Scripture: “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.” Psalm 56:3
Devotional
David didn’t pretend fear didn’t exist. He admitted it, and said in Psalms 56:3, “When I am afraid…”
Fear isn’t failure. Staying there is.
David’s response wasn’t to ignore fear, it was to redirect it. Every fearful moment became another opportunity to trust God. Courage isn’t the absence of fear; it’s choosing faith anyway.
The more you know God’s character, the less power fear has over your future. You may not know what’s ahead, but you know the One who goes before you. Choose trust today.
Reflection
What fear do you need to surrender to God today?
Prayer
Jesus, I place every fear, every uncertainty, and every burden into Your hands. Help me trust You more than my circumstances. Remind me daily that You are faithful, You are present, and You are worthy of my confidence. Amen.
Action Step
Write your biggest fear on a piece of paper. Underneath it, write Psalm 56:3 and spend time praying over it, surrendering it to God.
