Increase Our Hunger
Key Scripture:
Psalm 63:1 “Earnestly I seek You; I thirst for You…”
Devotional:
Peter and John didn’t just perform miracles. They walked with hunger. They desired God more than reputation, influence, or recognition.
Fixing your eyes on God requires hunger. Not casual interest. Not emotional moments. Real desire. Every day there is a war between flesh and spirit. One wants comfort and applause. The other wants communion and obedience.
You will fix your eyes on whatever you hunger for most. If you hunger for Him, truly, you will seek Him first, follow closely, and point everything back to Him.
Revival doesn’t belong to the casually interested. It belongs to the hungry.
Reflect:
1. What am I truly hungry for?
2. Does my daily life reflect hunger for God?
3. What competes with my focus?
Prayer:
God, increase my hunger for You. Strip away casual Christianity from my heart. I want to desire You more than success, comfort, or approval.
Action Step:
Set aside extended time this week, beyond your normal rhythm, just to sit with God. No agenda. Just hunger.
