Revival Restores Joy
Key Scripture:
Psalm 85:6
Revival does not simply stir emotion; it restores joy. The psalmist cries out, “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?” True revival leads to renewed delight in God Himself.
Over time, it is possible to remain consistent in attendance, service, and responsibility while quietly losing the joy of salvation. We remember what God has done, but the wonder fades. Revival rekindles first love. It reminds us that we were rescued, redeemed, and brought near by grace.
God restores joy not to make us busy, but to make us alive again. Joy is the fruit of restored relationship.
Reflective Questions:
1. Have I lost the joy of my salvation?
2. When did gratitude begin to fade into routine?
3. Am I serving God from delight or obligation?
Prayer:
Lord, restore the joy of my salvation. Take me back to the gratitude and awe I once felt. Remove anything that has made my heart dull, and renew in me a deep love for You.
Action Step:
Spend time thanking God specifically for how He saved and changed you.
