What Does Your Life Say About God?

Jul 24, 2026

Scripture

“We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19

Devotional

Whether we realize it or not, people are constantly forming opinions about God based on the lives of those who follow Him.

Pastor Steve reminded us that what we say—and what our lives say—shape people’s perspective of who God is.

That’s a sobering thought.

If we claim to know Jesus but refuse to love others, we’re communicating something about God that isn’t true. If fear keeps us silent, disconnected, or unwilling to care for people, we miss opportunities for others to encounter His love.

The goal isn’t simply to become fearless.

The goal is to become so rooted in God’s presence and His perfect love that fear no longer determines how we live.

Revival begins when ordinary believers spend time with Jesus, are transformed by His love, and carry that love into every conversation, every relationship, and every moment of everyday life.

The world doesn’t just need to hear about Jesus.

It needs to see Him reflected through us.

Reflection

1. What does your life currently communicate about God?

2. Does your love reflect His love?

3. Where is God inviting you to be bold this week?

Prayer

Jesus, let my life reflect who You truly are. Fill me with Your presence, anchor me in Your perfect love, and give me courage to love people well. May everything I say and do point others toward You. Use me for Your glory. Amen.

Today’s Challenge

Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you into one intentional Gospel conversation this week. Don’t focus on having all the right words—focus on loving the person in front of you. Trust God to do the rest.
