Power That Fills

Apr 20, 2026

Scripture: Acts 2:4

“All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”

The moment the Holy Spirit came in Acts 2, everything changed. The disciples weren’t striving to be bold or trying to manufacture confidence. They were simply filled, and out of that filling came speech. The power of the Holy Spirit isn’t just about what we feel, it’s about what flows out of us.

Sometimes we think we need to be more prepared, more qualified, or more confident before we speak about Jesus. But Acts 2 shows us something different. The disciples didn’t wait until they felt ready. They were filled, and the Spirit enabled them. The power didn’t come from within them. It came from Him.

When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, He begins to shift what comes out of our mouths. Fear gives way to boldness. Silence turns into testimony. The same Spirit that filled them is available to you today.

Reflective Questions:

1. Where have I been holding back from speaking about Jesus?

2. Am I trying to rely on my own confidence instead of the Holy Spirit?

3 . What would it look like for me to be filled and led by Him today?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, fill me fresh today. I don’t want to rely on my own strength or ability. Give me the words to speak and the boldness to say them. Let what flows out of my life reflect You. Use my voice for Your purpose. Amen.

Action Step:

Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you today, then look for one opportunity to speak about Jesus, even in a simple way.
