Give Me This Mountain
Scripture:
“Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day.” Joshua 14:12
Devotional:
Caleb didn’t ask for ease — he asked for the mountain. He believed God’s promise was still worth fighting for, even when it required effort.
During fasting, God often clarifies what we’ve been avoiding. Mountains represent challenges, obedience, and territory that requires trust. Caleb teaches us not to shrink back, but to step forward.
Reflection:
1. What “mountain” have I been avoiding?
2. What promise do I need to believe God for again?
Prayer:
Lord, give me courage to face what You’ve placed before me. I don’t want comfort — I want obedience. Strengthen me to take hold of what You’ve promised. Amen.
Fast Focus:
Pray boldly. Don’t ask small prayers — trust God with big faith.
