He Is Risen! Now What?
Scripture:
Luke 24:6–7
“He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you…”
Devotional:
Easter declares a finished work, but the days after ask a deeper question: do we actually remember what Jesus said? The angels didn’t give the women new information. They pointed them back to what was already spoken.
It’s easy to celebrate resurrection Sunday and then slip back into old patterns by Monday. Old fears, old mindsets, old ways of living. But resurrection isn’t just something we celebrate, it’s something we step into. Jesus didn’t rise so we could admire Him. He rose so we could follow Him in a new way of living.
Sometimes the most powerful shift isn’t receiving something new from God, it’s remembering what He already said and choosing to live like it’s true.
Reflective Questions:
1. Where have I forgotten what God already spoke over my life?
2. Am I living like the resurrection changed anything for me?
3. What truth do I need to return to today?
Prayer:
Lord, bring me back to what You’ve already spoken. Help me not chase new words while ignoring what You’ve made clear. Let the truth of Your resurrection reshape how I think, live, and respond. Teach me to walk in what I already know is true.
Action Step:
Write down one promise or truth from God’s Word that you’ve been neglecting, and intentionally live it out today.
