Walking In The Spirit Begins In The Mind
Scripture:
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” Colossians 3:2
Pastor Earl asked a powerful question: How do we walk in the Spirit? The answer begins with our minds.
What we think about shapes how we live. If our minds are consumed with fear, comparison, offense, or worldly desires, our actions will eventually follow. But when we intentionally set our minds on God’s truth, His peace and life begin to shape us.
Walking in the Spirit isn’t simply about avoiding sin; it’s about actively pursuing God’s presence. Every day, we have the opportunity to redirect our thoughts toward what is true, noble, pure, and pleasing to Him.
Reflection Question:
What thoughts have been occupying your mind recently? Are they drawing you closer to Jesus?
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, renew my mind today. Help me fix my thoughts on You and reject anything that pulls me away from Your truth. Teach me to walk in step with Your Spirit. Amen.
Action Step:
Spend five uninterrupted minutes meditating on a Bible verse today instead of scrolling on your phone.
