God Sees the Hidden Things
Scripture: “People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
When Hannah prayed at the temple, others misunderstood her. Eli assumed something was wrong with her because he couldn’t see the pain she was carrying internally. But God understood exactly what was happening in her heart.
There are seasons where people may not fully understand what you’re walking through. Some battles are invisible. Some prayers are deeply personal. Some burdens are carried quietly. But just because people don’t see it doesn’t mean God doesn’t.
God pays attention to the hidden places, the tears no one noticed, the prayers whispered in private, the sacrifices nobody applauds, the faithfulness that feels unseen. He is close to the people who continue seeking Him even when nobody else understands their story.
Being clothed in power means knowing that your identity is rooted in God’s presence, not people’s opinions. You don’t need to perform for God to love you. He already sees you fully.
Reflective Questions:
1. Have I been seeking validation from people more than from God?
2. What hidden burdens have I been carrying?
3. How does it change things knowing God sees my heart completely?
Prayer:
God, thank You for seeing beyond appearances. Thank You for knowing my heart, my struggles, and my prayers. Help me find security in Your presence instead of the opinions of others. Amen.
Action Step:
Write down one thing you’ve been carrying privately and surrender it to God in prayer.
