Grace Restores The Broken

Aug 21, 2025

Scripture:

2 Corinthians 12:9

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’”

Devotional:

Grace is the gentle hand of the Gardener when a plant has been damaged. Pastor Charmaine reminded us that walking in grace means both receiving it and extending it. Grace doesn’t ignore brokenness - it helps heal it. Grace is not just a covering; it’s a restoring power that revives what was lost.

When you feel weak, His grace doesn’t shame you - it restores you. When you fall short, His grace doesn’t reject you - it calls you closer. And when you’ve been broken, His grace doesn’t discard you - it breathes life back into you.

And it doesn’t stop with us. As we receive His restoring grace, we are called to extend it to others. Your willingness to forgive, encourage, or lift someone up could be the very tool God uses to restore them.

Reflection Questions:

1. Where in my life do I need to let God’s grace restore me?

2. Do I sometimes resist His grace by trying to “fix myself”?

3. Who in my life needs grace from me right now?

Prayer:

Lord, thank You that Your grace restores what my weakness cannot. Teach me to walk daily in it and to extend it freely to others.

Action Step:

Identify one area where you’ve been hard on yourself. Speak this aloud: “God’s grace is enough for me here.”
