Sowing Determines the Harvest
Scripture:
”Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”
Galatians 6:7
Devotional:
The harvest doesn’t lie. Whatever seed we sow - into our thoughts, our habits, or our actions- will eventually break through the soil of our lives. If we sow to the old man, we will see old patterns rise again.
But if we sow to the Spirit, the new man is nourished, and a new harvest comes forth. God calls us to pay attention to the seeds in our hand: what we meditate on, what we invest in, what we choose daily.
Reflection Questions:
1. What “seeds” am I planting with my current habits?
2. How have I seen past seeds (good or bad) “bloom” or show up in my life now?
3. Am I intentional with my spiritual sowing?
Prayer:
Lord, open my eyes to the seeds I’m planting in my life. Help me recognize what leads to death and what leads to life in the Spirit.
Action Step:
Write down 3 areas of your life where you’ve been sowing to the old man. Surrender them to God in prayer.
