Stop Stealing What God Wants You To Discover
Scripture: “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13
Devotional
We live in a generation where answers are only seconds away. Need encouragement? Search online. Need a Bible study? Ask ChatGPT. Need a sermon? Watch someone else’s.
While these tools can be helpful, they should never replace time spent personally seeking God.
There’s a difference between someone handing you treasure and digging until you find it yourself. God desires relationship, not shortcuts. The lessons He teaches in His presence become part of who we are because we’ve wrestled with His Word ourselves.
Don’t settle for borrowed revelation when God wants to speak directly to you.
Reflection
Have you been spending more time searching for quick answers than seeking God’s voice?
Prayer
Lord, create in me a hunger for Your presence above convenience. Help me desire Your voice more than quick solutions. Teach me to treasure time with You and to seek You with my whole heart. Amen.
Action Step
Before opening a devotional, searching online, or asking someone else, spend 15 uninterrupted minutes reading Scripture and talking with God.
