God Responds To Sacrifice

Mar 10, 2026

Key Scripture:

Hebrews 11:6

Throughout scripture we see a consistent pattern: when people bring a true sacrifice before God, He responds. Pastor Randy pointed out that it is simply part of God’s nature. He cannot help but respond when hearts come before Him in sincerity and surrender.

A sacrifice is not about impressing God. It is about placing something meaningful before Him and trusting Him with the outcome. In Acts 2, the disciples sacrificed their comfort and their certainty. They waited on the Lord without knowing what would happen next.

The beautiful truth is that we do not have to manipulate God or earn His attention. His character is already set toward us. Scripture repeatedly reminds us that He loves to reveal Himself to those who seek Him.

Our responsibility is simply to bring our lives to the altar.

Reflective Questions:

1. What would it look like for me to bring a real sacrifice to God?

2. Am I trusting God with what I surrender?

3. Have I allowed fear to keep me from full obedience?

Prayer:

Father, I trust Your character and Your goodness. Help me bring my life fully before You without hesitation. Teach me to surrender what matters most, knowing that You always meet Your people in faithfulness.

Action Step:

Write down one thing you sense God asking you to surrender, and place it before Him in prayer.
