The Fruit Reveals The Source

May 19, 2026

Scripture:

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Galatians 5:22–23

Pastor Steve talked about how the fruit of the Spirit reveals who is truly operating through God’s power. In a world full of influence, charisma, and loud voices, fruit is what exposes the real source. Power without fruit becomes dangerous. Talent without character eventually falls apart.

The Holy Spirit doesn’t just make us gifted, He transforms us. Real power produces real fruit. You can tell when someone spends time with Jesus because their life begins to look different. They become softer where they once were harsh. More patient where they once exploded. More loving where they once held bitterness.

Sometimes we want the visible demonstrations of power while avoiding the quiet work of transformation. But fruit takes time to grow. God is far more concerned with who we are becoming than simply what we can do.

Reflective Questions:

1. Which fruit of the Spirit has God been growing in me lately?

2. Are there areas where my character doesn’t match my calling?

3. Do I prioritize gifting more than spiritual maturity?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, continue transforming me from the inside out. Grow fruit in my life that reflects Your heart. Help me not chase attention or recognition, but instead become more like Jesus every day. Let my character honor You even when nobody is watching. Amen.

Action Step:

Ask God to intentionally grow one fruit of the Spirit in your life this week.
