Joy Has A Name

Dec 16, 2025

Scripture:

“I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.

Luke 2:10

Devotional:

The announcement of Jesus’ birth was not filled with fear or pressure—it was filled with joy. Jesus came to bring hope to a broken world, not to add weight to our lives. This joy was for all people, in every season and situation.

Advent reminds us that joy entered the world humbly. God came near, not distant. Even now, the presence of Jesus brings a steady joy that meets us exactly where we are.

Reflection Questions:

1. Have I connected following Jesus more with pressure than joy?

2. What does it mean that joy came through Jesus Himself?

3. Where do I need to invite Jesus into my current season?

Prayer:

Jesus, thank You for coming near. Thank You for bringing joy into the world and into my life. Help me remember that You are present with me, even now. Amen.

Action Step:

Take a moment to thank Jesus specifically for His nearness today.
