Trusting God In The Unknown

Jan 22, 2026

Scripture: Genesis 32:9–10

Devotional:

Jacob stepped into the unknown with prayer, not confidence in himself. He didn’t rely on strength or strategy—he relied on God’s mercy. The unknown isn’t punishment; it’s preparation. God often brings us into places where pride fades and dependence grows.

When we don’t know what’s ahead, humility becomes our anchor. Trusting God doesn’t mean having answers—it means believing He’s faithful even without them.

If you feel uncertain during this fast, you’re not behind. You’re being positioned.

Reflection Questions:

1. Where do I feel unsure about what’s next?

2. Am I relying on my own ability or God’s grace?

3. What would it look like to trust God fully here?

Prayer:

God, I admit I don’t have all the answers. Teach me to walk humbly and depend on You daily. Strengthen my faith as I step into the unknown. I trust that You go before me and are faithful to lead me. Amen.

Action Step:

Pray specifically for favor and guidance in one uncertain area today.
