Aware Of His Presence

Scripture:

“I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” Luke 24:49

Devotional:

Jesus told His disciples to wait. Not because they lacked calling, but because they lacked awareness of the power that would come through

the Holy Spirit.

Many of us move through life doing all the right things, but with very little awareness of His presence. We pray, we serve, we show up—but internally, we’re still carrying everything on our own.

Walking with the Spirit begins with awareness. Not striving, not performing, just recognizing: He is with me right now.

Before anything changes outwardly, something has to shift inwardly. You don’t need to earn His presence, you need to become aware of it.

Reflect:

1. How aware am I of the Holy Spirit throughout my day?

2. Do I tend to carry things on my own instead of leaning on Him?

3. What distracts me most from His presence?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, open my eyes to Your presence. I don’t want to move through my life unaware of You. Teach me to slow down and recognize that You are with me in every moment.

Action Step:

Set one reminder today to pause and simply acknowledge: “Holy Spirit, You’re here with me.”
