Legacy Starts With You
Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:6-7
“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children…”
Devotional
When we think about legacy, it’s easy to focus on what we’ll leave behind someday. But legacy isn’t built at the end of our lives, it’s built in the everyday choices we make right now.
David wasn’t perfect. He had incredible victories and painful failures. Yet one thing we learn from his story is that our actions today shape the people who come after us.
Whether you’re a parent, auntie, uncle, mentor, leader, or friend, someone is watching your life. People learn more from what we do than what we say.
If we want future generations to know God, love God, and follow God, we have to model that ourselves first. The change we hope to see in our family tree often begins with us.
Reflection
What kind of legacy are your daily habits creating right now?
Prayer
Lord, help me remember that legacy is built one decision at a time. Let my life point others toward You. Give me the courage to be the example I hope future generations will follow. Amen.
Action Step
