You Carry A Name
Scripture: Revelation 19:16
“On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords.”
Devotional:
Before Jesus ever spoke a sermon or performed a miracle, His name carried weight. When the wise men came looking for Him, even kings were disturbed. Why? Because heaven had already declared who He was. And here’s the truth—your identity works the same way.
If you belong to Jesus, you don’t walk into rooms empty. You carry His name. His authority. His covering. The enemy doesn’t just react to what you do, but to who you are in Christ.
Sometimes we try to earn authority through effort, striving, or proving ourselves. But God isn’t asking you to build an identity—He’s asking you to live from the one He already gave you.
You’re not trying to become victorious. You’re walking as someone who already belongs to the King of Kings.
Reflect:
1. Where in my life am I striving instead of resting in who God says I am?
2. Do I live like I carry the name of Jesus?
3. What would change if I truly believed my identity was secure in Him?
Prayer:
Lord, help me to stop striving for identity and start living from it. Remind me that I carry Your name, Your authority, and Your covering. Let me walk with confidence—not in myself, but in who You are in me. Amen.
Action Step:
Speak this out loud today: “I belong to Jesus. I carry His name.”
