Prepare The Next Generation
Scripture: 1 Chronicles 22:5
"David said, 'My son Solomon is young and inexperienced... so I will begin making preparations for it now.'"
Devotional
One of David's greatest makes was how he prepared Solomon for the future. David knew he wouldn't be the one to build the temple, but he spent years gathering resources, giving instructions, and preparing Solomon to succeed. That's what godly legacy looks like. It's not just thinking about our success, it's preparing others for theirs. Many people want their children, family members, or younger generations to thrive, but preparation takes intentionality. Encouragement. Time. Prayer. Conversations. Example.
Legacy isn't simply what we leave behind. It's what we build into others while we're still here.
Reflection
Who has God placed in your life that you can intentionally invest in?
Prayer
Father, help me think beyond myself. Show me how to encourage, equip, and strengthen the people You've placed around me. Let my life prepare others to walk faithfully with You. Amen.
Action Step
Send a message, make a call, or spend intentional time encouraging someone younger in faith or life experience.
