The Power of His Presence

Apr 13, 2026

Scripture:

John 14:16–17

Jesus didn’t leave us with a mission and no help. He promised us a Person. The Holy Spirit isn’t a distant force or a one-time experience, He is God with us, dwelling in us. Before we ever do anything for God, we are invited to walk with Him.

Sometimes we reduce the Holy Spirit to what He can give us: power, gifts, direction. But Jesus introduces Him as a Helper, a Comforter, a constant presence. He’s not just the source of power, He is the relationship we were always meant to live in.

If we don’t know Him, we’ll try to use Him without knowing who He is. But when we know Him, we’ll trust Him, follow Him, and remain with Him.

Reflect:

1. When I think about the Holy Spirit, what comes to mind first: a relationship or a resource?

2. Where in my day do I tend to forget He’s actually with me?

3. What would it look like to include Him in the ordinary parts of my life?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, I don’t want to just know about You, I want to know You. Help me become more aware of Your presence in my life. Teach me to walk with You, not just call on You when I need something. Draw me into deeper relationship with You.

Action Step:

Pause for a few minutes today and simply acknowledge the Holy Spirit. No requests, just awareness.
