Drinking The Living Water

Mar 12, 2026

Key Scripture:

John 7:37–38

Pastor Randy used a powerful picture: sometimes people come to the altar and experience a moment of praise or emotion, but they never actually receive the work of the Holy Spirit within them. It is like someone who is thirsty but chooses to pour water over their body instead of drinking it.

They may look refreshed, but nothing inside them has changed.

God invites us to receive more than an external experience. He offers living water that flows from within. When we welcome the Holy Spirit into our lives, transformation happens internally and then begins to shape everything around us.

The altar is not about a moment; it is about surrendering ourselves so that God’s life can flow through us.

Reflective Questions:

1. Have I been content with outward experiences instead of inward transformation?

2. Am I truly allowing the Holy Spirit to work within me?

3. What would it look like to receive more deeply from God?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, I invite Your work within my life. I don’t want to settle for surface-level faith. Fill me with Your presence and allow Your life to flow through me.

Action Step:

Spend time quietly inviting the Holy Spirit to lead you and shape your heart.
