Moved With Compassion
Scripture: Mark 1:41
“Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, ‘I am willing; be cleansed.’”
Before the man experienced healing, he experienced the compassionate touch of Jesus.
In a time when leprosy brought isolation and separation, Jesus did something extraordinary. He reached out and touched a man others would have avoided. Jesus didn't just see his condition. He saw the person standing before Him.
This moment reminds us that the heart of Jesus is full of compassion. He is not distant from our struggles, and His love is not limited by the circumstances we find ourselves in.
As followers of Christ, we're called to reflect that same compassion. It's not enough to receive His love; we should allow His love to transform how we treat the people around us.
Reflection:
Who in my life needs to experience the compassion of Jesus through my words or actions today?
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for seeing me with compassion. Help me to see others through Your eyes and extend the same love, grace, and kindness that You have shown me. Amen.
