Lord If You Are Willing
Scripture: Matthew 8:2–3
“Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
The leper had no doubt about Jesus' ability to heal him. His question wasn't whether Jesus could, but whether Jesus would.
What a powerful picture of faith and surrender.
Sometimes we approach God with our own expectations of how He should move. We pray with a specific answer, timeline, or outcome already in mind. But true surrender means trusting God's authority even when His response looks different from what we hoped for.
Faith isn't just believing God is able. It's trusting Him enough to surrender our desires to His will.
The leper brought his need before Jesus, but he left the decision in Jesus' hands.
Reflection:
Is there an area of my life where I'm asking God to follow my plans instead of surrendering to His will?
Prayer:
Father, I believe You are able to do all things. Help me trust Your will above my own desires. Teach me to surrender my expectations and rest in who You are. Amen.
