Before You Move, Wait
Scripture: Psalm 27:14; John 6:14–15; Mark 6:45–46
After performing miracles and ministering to the crowds, Jesus withdrew to be alone with the Father. Even when people wanted to elevate Him as king, He didn't allow their expectations to determine His direction.
Jesus demonstrated that prayer isn't just preparation for what comes next, it's where we remain anchored in the Father's will.
Waiting on God is not wasted time. It's an act of faith, humility, and dependence.
Sometimes we put the cart before the horse by making decisions, creating plans, and moving forward before we've spent time seeking God.
But what if our first response wasn't to move, fix, or figure everything out? What if it was simply to wait in His presence?
Reflect:
Where in my life do I need to stop rushing ahead and make room to listen for God's voice?
Prayer:
Lord, teach me to be still in Your presence. Give me patience to wait, ears to listen, and faith to follow Your direction. May prayer always be my first response, not my last resort. Amen.
