Joy That Lasts
Scripture:
“You make known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence.” Psalm 16:11
Devotional:
Lasting joy is found in God’s presence. Not in a season ending or circumstances changing—but in walking closely with Him. Advent invites us to slow down and make room for the joy that comes from being near to God.
As we wait and prepare our hearts, we remember that joy isn’t something we chase—it’s something we receive as we draw closer to Him.
Reflection Questions:
1. What has been competing for my attention lately?
2. How can I be more intentional about spending time with God?
3. Where do I need God’s joy to meet me right now?
Prayer:
God, thank You that true joy is found in Your presence. As I slow down this Advent season, help me make room for You. Fill my heart with joy that lasts. Amen.
Action Step:
Spend five uninterrupted minutes today simply sitting with God—no distractions, no agenda.
