Clothed in Power for a Purpose

May 15, 2026

Scripture:

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you…” Acts 1:8

God didn’t just strengthen Hannah for herself. Her life became part of a greater purpose. Samuel would go on to impact an entire generation because of one woman’s faithfulness and surrender.

The same is true for us. God doesn’t clothe us in power just so we can survive life — He empowers us to reflect Him to others. Your story, your testimony, your endurance, your kindness, your obedience — it all matters more than you realize.

Some people are carrying influence without even knowing it. The way you love your family. The way you show up at church. The way you continue trusting God through hardship. The way you encourage others. Those things leave an impact.

You may feel ordinary, but God uses ordinary people filled with His Spirit to do meaningful things. The Holy Spirit gives us strength, wisdom, endurance, boldness, compassion, and peace for every season we walk through. You are not empty-handed, you are clothed in power.

Reflective Questions:

1. How can my life reflect God to others this week?

2. Where is God asking me to walk boldly in faith?

3. Have I underestimated the impact my obedience can have?

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, thank You for empowering me to live faithfully. Help me walk in strength, humility, and purpose. Use my life to encourage others and point people back to You. Amen.

Action Step:

Ask God today: “Who can I encourage, serve, or pray for this week?”
